You’ll learn the hands-on techniques I use in my own work, drawing on my education at Parsons School of Design, experience designing for New York fashion brands, and decades of working with sustainable, organic, upcycled, deadstock, and unconventional materials.

Session 1: Introduction
A short introduction to Eco Fashion, what it is, why it is important, and the difference between Eco Fashion and Fast Fashion.
Session 2: Applique
In this session I share the story of how my iconic appliqué cashmere sweaters came about and demonstrate my appliqué technique.
Session 3: Reverse Applique
Reverse Appliqué is a technique using 2 or more layers of fabric, stitched & areas cut away to reveal the design.
Session 4: Beading
Fabric embellishment techniques using traditional and non-traditional beading materials and findings.
Session 5: Studding
Embellishment techniques with studs and rhinestones using a kick press, as well as techniques using Chicago Screw studs.
Session 6: Eco Fabrics
An overview of my favorite eco conscious fabrics which include organic, sustainable, and upcycled materials.
